Start New Holiday Traditions, and Make Some Fun Decorations

Tis the season to be jolly, folla la la la la la la la!  If you are looking for some fun holiday traditions and craft projects, check out these great ideas...
These easy to make Christmas tree decorations only take yarn, glue, balloons, and some optional glitter.  For  the details on how Heather at mommypotamus made them click here.

Our new favorite Christmas tradition is a Thankfulness Chain.  These are fun and really easy to make.  All you need is colored sheets of construction paper, a marker, and glue or staples.

To make them just take the construction paper and turn it side ways.  Cut the strips about 3/4 of an inch wide until you have enough strips for each day from Thanksgiving till Christmas.
In the center of each strip write something you are thankful for, writing something different on each strip.  We like to put Jesus on the the last day for Christmas.  :)

Attach each of the strips together so that they form a chain.  Then hang it somewhere you'll see it everyday, like by the dining room table.  Each night you can look at the chain and discuss what you are thankful for that day.

It's a great way of getting grounded in thankfulness in this season!  Have fun being creative!!
