Sour Gummy Stars

If we could hide candy at all times and not give it to our kids I honestly would!  Not because I don't want them to have treats, I love spoiling them here and there.  It's because of the physical reaction that I get from my kids when they keep getting more and more sugar from seemingly every where we go.  There attention spans get shorter, their other wise good behavior starts to crash and burn.

So how about we give them a treat that is "candy" but is actually made out of healthy ingredients, and is so easy that they can have fun helping with it?!

In steps Sour Gummy Stars from Heather at mommypotamus...

Pop a few in your mouth too, because not only are these babies loaded with high quality protein and helpful when it comes to healing digestive disorders, they’re also rich in an essential nutrient for gorgeous skin, lustrous hair, and strong nails – collagen! The amino acids which increase your metabolism and balance your hormones? Well, they’re just the icing on top! (source)

My kids would LOVE this! What brand of gelatin do you buy and where do you buy it? Also, where do you buy your food coloring? Thanks!!

I buy the cheap unflavored gelatin packets from Target ($1.27 for 4 Tbs.). I would prefer to use Great Lakes gelatin, which is available on Amazon and maybe at health food stores. For food coloring a local health food store like Valley Natural should have you covered. :)
